Liquid painting process.
In liquid spray, the paint color is suspended in a liquid binder. The liquid binder is made up of solvents, pigment and several curing agents. Using a pressurized canister, the paint is sprayed on the parts in an even coating. Low heat (200 deg. F) or air dry allows the liquid binder to evaporate leaving the paint behind on the part. We have the ability to match any paint sample and can finish your product in a variety of textures from smooth to rough. Contact us to learn more about our liquid finishing capabilities.
Benefits of liquid paint:
- Excellent for parts or include parts that cannot with-stand the high temperatures required for powder coating (around 400 degrees F.) For example:
- Plastics
- Rubber
- Gaskets
- Paint can be applied thinner where tight tolerances are required.
- Can be purchased in small quantity. Great for smaller jobs.
- Is easier to match to a specific color especially metallic finishes.
Our Liquid painting process is as follows:
– Clean parts of all oils and grease
– Masking and plugging
-Apply paint
-Cure paint (Low heat oven bake or air dry depending on paint)
-Final inspection
-Packaging
